Synopsis:

Subject provides more detailed information about economic design of timber and steel structures. The main focus is design of timber structures as for instance arches, trusses, frames, bridges etc.

-Repetition of timber members design

-Timber truss beams

-Glue-lam timber beams

-Timber rigid frames

-Timber arches

-Frame systems of timber buildings

-Timber footbridges and bridges

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Design of saddle beam

2. Design of timber arch hall

Study Objective:

The main goal of study is to provide more detailed information about design of engineering structures.
