- Synopsis:
-
Practical solutions for hydraulic problems in technological processes: sedimentation, mixing, separation, fluidation, flow, pumping. Design of hydraulic equipment (e.g. transport system composed of pumps and pipelines for hydraulic transport of solids) based on mathematical modeling of hydraulic processes.
- Requirements:
-
It is required to have passed course: 141HY3V or 141XHY3
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
Sedimentation and fluidation,
Coarse Newtonian mixtures: pipeline flow, open-channel flow,
Fine non-Newtonian mixtures: pipeline flow, open-channel flow,
Pumping of mixtures,
Mixing of mixtures, separation using centrifugal force,
Gas in liquid (effect on flow and pumping).
- Syllabus of tutorials:
- Study Objective:
-
The course learns students to understand hydraulic processes associated with handling of mixtures (solids-liquid, gas-liquid) in industrial practice.
