Synopsis:

Hydraulic characteristics of porous medium, governing equation for unsaturated flow, initial and boundary conditions. Infiltration, redistribution, evaporation, drainage, capillary rise. Subsurface stormflow. Flow in saturated formations. Transport of contaminants, hydrodynamic dispersion, governing equations, reactive transport.

Introduction into the basic methods essential for the quantitative description of the processes associated with flow of water and transport of solutes in natural porous formations.
