Synopsis:

Advanced methods of thermal analysis, fire scenarios, zone models, fire load at localized fire, fire resistance composite, and aluminium structural elements. Practical application: evaluation of fire load at localised fire, temperature of structure exposed to localized fire, fire resistance of composite column exposed to fire.

Summary of the basic principles of fire design

Thermal analysis, fire scenarios

Rate of heat release

Zone models, models of localised fire

Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD)

heat transfer to structural elements exposed to localised fire, unprotected and protected steel elements

Configuration factor, steel elements outside the fire compartment

Advanced methods of glogal structural analysis

Design of composite structures, composite columns using software

Design of aluminium structures

Examples of structural fire design

Fire experiments

Design of composite column using software

Global structural analysis at fire

Temperature of steel column outside of the fire compartment

Study Objective:

To increase the knowledge of fire engineering methods. The aim is to get the ability to design steel, composite, timber and aluminium structures exposed to fire.
