Linear stability - determination of critical loading, determination of buckling shape. Analysis of structures according to the 2nd order theory - equilibrum on deformed structure, matrix of initial stresses. Elasto-plastic analysis of structures - determination of ultimate loading, determination of internal forces at ultimate limit state, determination of collaps shape at ultimate limit state - static incremental method, kinematic method.

Students will get acquainted with concept of linear stability and elasto-plastic calculation of ultimate loading. Students will be able to determine critical loading, response according to the 2nd order theory and ultimate loading on simple frame structures.
