Student will be able to apply analytical approach to design of foundation structures and building structures according to external requirements and conditions

Design of load bearing structure and foundation structure of multistorey or large-span building in given external conditions. Analysis and optimization of load bearing structure. Analysis and design of foundation structure. Design of braced open pit or retaining walls with anchors. Analysis of soil-structure interaction by numerical modelling. Verification of designed solution and ability of structural elements to perform their functions by computer aided calculation. Optimalization of solution with emphasis on constructional details.
