Introduction to the foundations of Emergency and Disaster Medicine in response to current standards of first aid. Clear and comprehensive information about urgent situations,diseases and injuries across the majority of medical disciplines. The issue of mass affected persons.

1st Introduction to first aid - the basis of Emergency and Disaster Medicine - Resuscitation
2nd Disorders of consciousness, acute conditions in psychiatry and psychology of stress
3rd Shock levels and blood pressure, allergic conditions
4th Bleeding and wound dressings technology, building bleeding
5th Infection, inflammation, chemical injury, thermal injury, shock, physical impact
6th Injuries and musculoskeletal diseases and limbs
7th Brain - the skull injuries and diseases of the central nervous system
8th Injuries to the spine and spinal cord
9th Injuries and diseases of respiratory system
10th Injuries and diseases of the cardiovascular system, chest pain
11th Injuries and diseases of the digestive system, urinary system diseases
12th Injuries of the urogenital tract and pelvis, acute conditions in gynecology and obstetrics
13th Accident, industrial pollutants, emergencies, mass disasters and catastrophes, the means of mass affected population, disaster medicine

1st Introduction to the subject, OSH, General description of the EMS (Medical Rescue System)
2nd Pre-hospital emergency care, EKG and its use in the EMS and specific ECG sensing in an ambulance car - demonstration
3rd Hospital emergency care and emergency income, use of a specific ultrasound in acute medicine - demonstration
4th Flows of information in IZS (Integrated Rescue System), Mobile and reviver anestetizační device - demonstration
5th IRS response to mass disasters, technology training and training for EMS - 1
6th Case studies of mass disaster (terrorism) in terms of IRS, technology training and training for EMS - 2
- Study Objective:

The objective of the subject is to make whole commentary on philosophy, essentials and relaions with other processes in field of acute situations and mass affection. The subject prepares students expertly for solving sudden situations in practice.
