Objectives of subject is recognition of all part of water
management and structures branch.

In the course of winter term students will obtain basic
knowledge of water management. The emphasis is put on
practical knowledge of water engineering with close
relation to other disciplines of civil engineering. The
subject is taught in form of lectures and practical
sessions. The stress is laid on presentation with examples
from common practice (positive and negative) with using all
audiovisual forms. The lectures contain: water structures
particularities, interaction with environment, hydrology,
water treatment, flood protection, weirs, waterways adnd
navigation, dams, water power plant station, water
management system, failures and critical situations of the
water structures.
