Sociological insight in the issues of residence and residential structure within the context of housing. Sociology of towns, countryside, modern urban tendencies resulting in "dissolution? of towns in the landscape, consequences of suburbanization. Separation of OIKOS and POLIS, feminine and masculine space, personal identity, urban area, selected issues of the sociology of space. House and flat as a monitor of interpersonal relations. Structure/architecture as a social medium.

The goal of the course is to introduce settlement as a social organism, to examine human behavior within the space and to present the city and its environment as well.
