Synopsis:

The student get information about the foundations of fire safety of buildings, the behaviour of the most used building materials in fire and their protection, the systems and priciples of repressive measures, the systems and elements ensuring the fire protective improvement and principles of repressive measures.

Syllabus of lectures:

The analysis of fire - causes and course of fire, the process of burning, fire load. The basic principles of fire safety solution, law prescriptions and standards of the Guideline of EU Council. The behaviour of the most used building materials (wood, steel, concrete, plastics) in fire. Fire safety equipments. The influence of fire on the stress and deformation of materials, principles for the solution of building structures from fire point of view building structures.
