Synopsis:

Cartography, cartographic works, map language, basic elements of map contents, their graphic presentation and generalisation. Development of cartography, historical mappings of the Czech lands. Contemporary state map series of the CR - civil and military, digital topographic data (ZABAGED). Thematic maps, cartographic presentation of statistical data. International organisations and activities in cartography.

Study Objective:

Students will get knowledge in development of cartography, state map series and international activities in cartography. They will understand the principles of topographic and thematic map contents creation.
