Synopsis:

Role of logistics in a firm, conception of total costs, relation of logistic activities, and costs. Application of logistics in construction company. Logistic information systems. Conception and stock management, importance and classification of stock, ABC, XYZ analysis, material flow management, TQM. Storing, function of store operations, manipulation with material. Purchase, its function and tasks, investigation and planning of purchase, selection and evaluation of suppliers. Services provided to clients, build-up of relation with a client. Methodological apparatus of logistics. Organization of effective logistic system. Interconnection of logistic strategy with company strategy. Logistic controlling. Principles of successful introduction of logistics into a company.

Study Objective:

Provide the necessary level of knowledge of construction logistics specifically targeted at project manager level and for necessary division staff support.
