The role of experiment as a mean of verification and design of materials and structures. Preparation and implementation of seminary experimental project. Theory of experiment, measurement, model analogy, evaluation of results. Determination of stresses inside and on the surface. Structure of indicators, application of strain gauges. Visit to the experiment or construction site.

Students will get an overview of possibilities of experimental work in laboratory and in situ. They will get acquainted with basic principles of experimental analysis of mechanical quantities and ways of evaluation of measured data.
