The course is aimed at preparing the student for the state language examination and is based on topics required for this examination. Great emphasis is placed on training oral presentation of facts about English speaking countries in comparison with the Czech Republic. The course covers one third of topics for the state language examination.

One third of topics for the state language examination covering topic related to the United Kingdom versus the Czech Republic.

The course is run as a series of seminars following the topics and scope of the syllabus mentioned above.

Relevant facts on English-speaking countries, specific language structures typical of a given topic.
Skills:
To read texts about English-speaking countries, search relevant information in texts, make use of language knowledge in oral communication on topics related to English-speaking countries in comparison with the Czech Republic (dialogue, discussions).
To qualify for admission to the higher level course (04ABR2).
