Basics of physical optics, interference and diffraction of light, diffraction theory of optical imaging. Relativistic effects in optics, Doppler effect, Sagnac effect. Fundamentals of atom physics, Schrödinger equation and its applications. Basics of solid state physics and laser physics.

Study Objective:

Students will learn fundamental principles of wave optics and selected parts of modern physics, which will help them to understand better technical problems that they could meet in their future study and professional career.
