Introduction to Geoinformatics. Main components of GIS - users, software, systems, hardware. Structure of geodata, basics of data preprocessing, searching the information. Basics og Geodatabases, work with raster and vector oriented systems. GIS in designing and in landscape and water management. Intro into morphological modelling. Digital terrain models, landuse mapping, soil maps, precipitation maps. Available commercial databases nad free sources. Intro into remote sensing.
