Drinking water resources. Basic treatment, flocculation, filtration, disinfection, removal of iron, manganese, calcium and magnesium, ion exchange, membrane processes. Waste water composition. Mechanical treatment, grit chambers, screens, sedimentation. Biological treatment with activated sludge and biofilm reactors. Sludge treatment, aerobic and anaerobic stabilization. Medical and communal balneology. Balneotechnology. Urban networks, theoretical background, coordination, conception, legislation, economical and ecological conditions.
