Introduction and presentation of timber structures use in building industry. Wood and wood-based materials properties. Safety of timber structures desing, ultimate limit states, valid standards. Cross section design of simple members. Connections of timber structures. Glued joints. Basic structural systems. Fire design. Protection of timber structures.
