Live loads. Matrix formulation of deformation method and principles of FEM. Models for a beam on elastic foundation. Analysis of walls and plates. Stresses in thin-wall beams. Stability of structures.

Students will be able to solve live loads effects, understand principles of FEM, will get acquainted with basic methods of walls and plates solution. They will be able to analyse thin-wall beams.
