Synopsis:

Advanced graphis modelling and structural

analysis of 3D structures. The used tool is Microstation

program and ANSYS program. Models of structural details made

from Microstation environment are transferred into the FEM

packeges, especially into the ANSYS program. Basis of the

approach to the ANSYS program,basic commands, static and

dynamic solution, Geometrically and materially non-linear

solution of the particular problems. Preferability of steel

structural details.The evaluation of stresses and the

applications of results with respect of valid codes for steel

structural design.

3. Modelling of the structural detail in the CAD program, modelling in ANSYS program, transfer of the CAD model to the FEM program

4. The FEM model, mashing procedures

5. The loads and supports

6. Material nonlinearity, different types, data preparation

7. Solution of the structural detail model, linear and nonlinear

8. Modifications of model, substructuring

9. Local improvements of the mesh density

10. Contact elements and their applications

11. The evaluation of results

12. The presentation of results

13. FEM analysis and the design according to valid codes, safety factors

14. Closing course, credit
