Synopsis:

Road user and vehicle, traffic surveys,

origin and destination studies, traffic flow-basic theory,

capacity of roads, level of service, capacity of intersections

- non-signalized, with traffic signals, roundabouts, ramps of

interchanges, forecasting travel demands, trip generation, trip

distribution, modal split, traffic assignment. Main

characteristic of rail types (railway, urban and suburban

railway, tramway, underground, siding), principles of track and

construction design, alignment of lines inside and outside

towns, solution of interconnections, influence of rail

transport on environment and its protection.

9. Junctions, traffic signals, capacity of junctions (intersections) - non/signalized and signalized

10. Forecasting travel demands, trip design, trip distribution, modal split, traffic assignment

11. Road stretch, horizontal alignment design

12. Design speed, horizontal curves, transition curve

13. Vertical alignment design, cross-section

14. Pavement construction materials and their characteristics, pavement construction
