Synopsis:

Concurrent force systems. Statics of particles. Plane and space rigid bodies: equivalent force/moment systems. Equilibrium of rigid bodies: supports, reaction forces, frames and trusses. Reaction forces applying the principle of virtual work.

Study Objective:

Student will be able to solve reactions of statically determinate plane structures and internal forces of plane trusses.
