Structure of atmosphere. Vertical stratification. Pressures QNH, QFE, QFF, QME. Instability. Atmospherical fronts. Atmospherical precipitation, origin & categorisation. Turbulence. Forces producing wind. Cyclone and anticyclone. Gradient wind. Geostrofical and geocyclostrophical wind. Visibilities in air transport. Dangerous meteorological aspects. Meteorological maps. Climatology. Circulation.Intertropical front. Meteorological information.

Study Objective:

Familiarization with basic processes in atmosphere influencing formation of weather. Basic information from climatology and aviation meteorology, accentuating meteorology aspects directly influencing safety of air transport.
