The course 04ABU2 is a sequel to course 04ABU1, concentrating more thoroughly on ESP text content, text grammar and vocabulary and functions typical of ESP (e.g., descriptions, definitions, classification of phenomena). It also introduces student to basic mathematics and information technology terms.
- Requirements:

Student will have passed course 04ABU1.
- Syllabus of lectures:

Topics based on the textbook, namely: application programs, multimedia, computer networks, the Internet, www, websites and webpages, communication systems.
Process and system descriptions, instructions, advice, recommendations, warnings. Arranging, sorting out, transferring, and assessing information obtained from written and spoken texts.

The course is run as a series of seminars following the topics and scope of the syllabus mentioned above.

Extended student´s ESP competence: reading specialised texts with respect to specific language structures, particularly: conditionals, subordinate clauses, cause and effect.
Skills:
To undestand more complex texts in the branch and work with longer authentic texts.
