Synopsis:

The course is oriented mainly on hydrological processes affected by antropogenic activities. In the focus of this subject are: meteorological processes near the ground and precipitation-runoff formation.

Requirements:

No prerequisities required.

Syllabus of lectures:

Watershed, balance of radiation, energy and water, climate system, precipitation, evaporation and runoff genesis, field measurement and data processing, streamflow routing, mathematical modelling of hydrological processes.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Analysis of long-term time series of air temperature, precipitation and streamflow. Methods of evaluation of antropogenic impacts.

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is understanding and ability to apply hydrological methods in projects of water engineering.
