Synopsis:

Subject consists of practical excersises with purpose to learn student to operate basic nuclear instrumentation and also to show them practically basic characteristic of ionizing radiation.

2)Dead time of GM counter.

3)Statistical nature of radioactive decay.

4)Attenuation of gamma radiation.

5)Backscattering of gamma radiation.

6)Attenuation of beta radiation (GM counter).
