French for beginners
The objective of this 5-level course is to be able to communicate in French orally and in writing in situations of everyday life , in socializing and in professional life. The course includes French for specific/ technical communication and reading of popular science and scientific texts.

The objective is to be able to communicate at elementary level, actively using the knowledge of chosen elementary language. The contents is roughly outlined by lessons 1 - 7 of the textbook Pravda - Pravdová, French for beginners (Francouzština pro začátečky). It is extended with situations of communication and functions from the textbook Espaces I, lessons 1-4 : introductions, personal information, asking and giving the directions, simple instructions and questions.
Special attention is paid to pronunciation. Spelling is explained in connection with pronunciation and grammar.

Introductions, personal information, asking and telling the way, simple instructions, questions.
Name of the university and faculty.
Elementary language structures: verbs be, have, other regular and irregular verbs in present tense, imperative. Nominal part of a sentence,definite and indefinite article,noun, adjective. Personal pronoun subject, objectdemonstrative,interrogative. Immediate future tense.
The contents covers lessons 1 - 7 of the textbook: Pravda-Pravdová, French for beginners and is expanded by communicative situations and functions of lessons 1 - 4 from the textbook Espaces 1.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of phonetics, morphology, syntax, lexis and orthography at the level appropriate to the course, namely:
elementary grammar, vocabulary, current idioms. Pronunciation and spelling rules.
Skills:
Understanding of, and simple communication in elementary situations, on chosen topics and using simple language functions (personal data, introductions, thanking, questions, agreements, disagreement).In
dialogue.
Meeting the requirements for advance to a higher level course(FZ2).
