1.General and Muscle physiology:introduction, study and measurements methods, animal experiments, cell membrane transportation, intercellular communication, principles of regulation, functional units of muscle, action potential, molecular basis of contraction, excitation-contraction coupling, summation and tetanus, length-power dependence, neuromuscular junction, energy, muscle fiber types, motor unit, differences among smooth and cardiac muscles
2.Physiology of breathing: function of respiratory system, outer and inner breathing, ventilation, diffusion and perfusion, compliance, death spaces, respiratory pressures, regulation
3.Heart and circulation: rhythm, propagation of contraction, importance of valves, autoregulation, action potential, excitation-contraction coupling, low and high pressure systems, hemodynamics, laminar and turbulent flow, blood pressure, its regulation and measurement, microcirculation, venous return
4.Blood and Immunity: body fluids, blood compositions, function of erythrocytes, erythropoiesis, hemoglobin, metabolism of Fe, blood groups, hemostasis, antigens and antibodies, innate and acquired immunity, B ant T lymphocytes, NK cells, monocytes-macrophages system, major histocompatibility system, ADCC, complement, inflammation, allergy
