The computer graphics seminar will cover selected research topics in computer graphics such as efficient rendering techniques, modeling of surface materials and their optical properties, simulation of natural phenomena, geometrical modeling and animation. In the seminar we will also discuss computer graphics techniques used in related research disciplines such as image processing, computer vision and human computer interaction. The goal of the course is to introduce the selected topics to the students and by analyzing selected highly influential research publications to further develop the research capabilities of the students.
