Synopsis:

The course will also focus on explaining the practical applications taught on issues of nuclear power plants. The basic premise is to get basic information about the specific contents of documentation processed by the licensee for the handling of VVZIZ (nuclear reactor) according to the requirements of legislation, organizational emergency preparedness in the Czech Republic, both the decision and their own performance level. The aim will be to master the method of applying the requirements of Czech legislation on the substantive content of the documents submitted by the designated government authorities for approval in relation to emergency preparedness and radiation protection at nuclear facilities. Will also include professional experience on nuclear facilities.

Implementation of basic concepts in the field of nuclear safety, radiation protection and emergency preparedness in practice.

Basic Czech legislation in the field of radiation protection and emergency preparedness and crisis management.

Practices meet the requirements of Czech legislation on radiation protection and emergency preparedness.

International standards in radiation protection.

Implementation of international standards into the Czech legislation and control in the audit.

Organizational and technical radiation protection at the Czech nuclear power plants.

Drafting of emergency scenarios.

Ensuring emergency preparedness at Czech nuclear power plants.

Draft content of all possible parts of the monitoring program, the licensee a very important source.

Internal and external emergency plans, emergency orders, trauma plans, structure and content.

Comparison of emergency preparedness at nuclear power plants abroad.

Radiation monitoring programs.

Excursion to the Temelin NPP.

Study Objective:

The goal is to provide students with detailed knowledge of current methods of radiation protection in the handling of radioactive substances and nuclear materials. Further documentation of application requirements for radiation protection

and emergency preparedness for nuclear facilities in the form of interpretation of legislative requirements and management documentation.
