- Synopsis:
-
The course is intended for students of both Bachelor's and Master's degree. It gives a basic overview of the UAS design and development process. Students fill the role of the designers and as such, under a supervision guidance, they are involved in preliminary design, design, engineering, construction. Performing a several flight tests of the finished prototype and giving evaluation on flight properties is the final task.
Necessary theoretical background in the areas of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, construction, aircraft materials and legislative requirements is a part of the course, based on the experience, procedures and elemental principles of engineering in general and sport aviation transferred into the design of unmanned aircraft systems.
