Synopsis:

To acquaint students with the safety risks of the 21st century, the phenomenon of terrorism and also with the organization of medical aid and first aid for the misuse of biological and nuclear agents.

For the credit requires 100% attendance at seminars.

examination:

The course is graded credit completed a test in the range of literature and reference substances odpřednášené in lectures and seminars. The minimum score for meeting the test is 20 out of 40 possible points. The test contains 20 questions from the threat of biological and 20 from nuclear and radiological threats. Of the three questions is one correct.

Overview of biological, radiological and nuclear agents.

Laboratory possibility of their detection. Possibilities of detection in field

Mechanisms of action of biological agents on living organisms.

Mechanisms of action of nuclear and radiological agents in the living organism.

Current knowledge of terrorist use of biological, nuclear and radiological weapons

Study Objective:

Basis of the system of knowledge about the phenomenon of terrorism to obtain the basic orientation of the fundamental problems of the possible use of the means of mass destruction and their effects on the population; the organization for immediate response by the emergency medical system, conditions for the deployment of forces and means IRS, the requirements to protect the population and emergency services.
