Synopsis:

During the course students will gradually learn the basics of psychology. Students will learn the general, developmental and social psychology and personality psychology that are relevant to their professional work. The greatest attention is paid to the psychological aspects of the situations in which the individual or his relatives face: the procedures are discussed interview with a man and his loved ones, individual psychological care, access to individuals with anxiety, fear and aggression. Part of the course is devoted to mental health crises and burn-out syndrome

The aim of lectures and exercises is to give students a basic overview of trends in psychology with which they can practice in their professional experience and whose assistance may be used for working with clients. Students acquire basic knowledge about the basic directions in the psychology used in practice.

The practical exercises will be used in a number of case studies, examples, and attachments, showing the application discussed themes.

Requirements:

Active participation in seminars. It allowed one absence, the absence of larger can only apologize for serious and documented reasons. You need to agree with the Head of seminars form of compensation.

Another condition is the processing of credit and successful presentation of seminar work.

The test will take the form of a written test. In total, 10 questions with free response. Questions will fully coincide with themes being discussed. The maximum score is 30 The minimum number of points for the quiz is 16 points. Classification is based on the evaluation of ECTS.

A - 29 - 30 points

B - 26 - 28 points

C - 23 - 25 points

D - 24 - 20 points

E - 19 - 16 points

Dementia (definition, dementia symptoms, dementia treatment, types of dementia)

Specific psychiatric diagnoses. (ADHD, autism, children's neuroses)

Neurotic disorders (neuroses, neurotic types of disorders, phobias, panic disorder, anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, dissociation, somatoforrmní disorders)

Organic mental disorders.

Mood disorders (hypomania, mania, depression, bipolar affective disorder, cyklotymie, dysthymia).

Eating disorders (bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa, non-specific eating disorders).

Basic functions and their mental disorders (disorders of perception, idiopathic disorders of perception, memory and its disorders, emotionality and its disorders, will and its disorders, speech and its disorders, emotional disorder, depressive disorders).

Personality disorders.

Schizophrenia.

The issue of burnout.

The issue of crisis. Crisis intervention.

The issue of deviation.

First Psychology of disease, disability, life crisis and changed roles.

Second Personality disorders. The basic mental functions and their disorders.

Third Psychological problems of dementia and organic mental disorders.

4th Psychological problems of neurotic disorders.

4th Psychological problems of death.

5th Psychology and mental crisis. Schizophrenia.

6th Psychology of fear, pain and anxiety.

7th Eating disorders (bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa, non-specific eating disorders).

8th Prevention of burn-out syndrome in the helping professions

9th Specific diagnoses in child psychiatry

10th Alternative approaches in psychology and psychiatry

Syllabus of tutorials:

First Psychological approach. (practice of therapeutic approach)

Second A small social group, classification and typology groups, group structure, position and role of members, taking roles, norms, cohesion, tension, social facilitation, competence, idling, group polarization.

Third Psychological approach to individuals with personality disorder (practice approach to individuals with a personality disorder)

4th Psychological approach to people with neurotic disorders (neurotic approach to training individuals)

5th Psychological approach to aggressive individuals (aggressive approach to training individuals)

6th Psychological approach to individuals who are going through crisis. Crisis intervention.

7th Social and psychological aspects of personality and social deviance.

8th Psychological approach to the child in specific situations.

9th Interpersonal relationships and their formation, interpersonal attraction, standards and attributes.

10th Presentation of seminar papers and award students credits

Study Objective:

To increase the students' knowledge of the structure of social services and their functions, interpersonal relationships, norms, roles and objectives, characteristics of communication in social services, and creation of a socio-psychological foundation; analyzing the interdependence of personality traits and situational conditions that determine the behavior of individuals and small groups.
