- Synopsis:
-
There is currently no specialist in the CR field of study that would provide comprehensive training in respiratory therapy, which includes a qualified assessment of the patient, care and treatment of artificial ventilation in cardiorespiratory failure system states with depression or pharmacological inhibition of neuromuscular transmission.
- Requirements:
-
Knowledge of anatomy, physics, physiology, biochemistry, pathophysiology, pharmacology.
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
Breathing without the aid of mechanical support (CPAP via a mask, tracheal tube, tracheostomy).
Controlled breathing with PEEP (CPPV, BiPAP).
Controlled breathing with PEEP ventilation for the inverse ratio of I: E (CPPV IRV + IR: BIPAP).
Respiratory support with mechanical ventilatory support (ASB, BIPAP, SIMV, MMV).
Ventilation techniques used for patients in home care. Management of respiratory therapist.
Pharmacology of the respiratory system. Pharmacology of the cardiovascular system.
- Syllabus of tutorials:
-
Examination of the patient before and during respiratory therapy, monitoring and evaluation of respiratory and circulatory functions.
Cardiopulmonary monitoring system - invasive monitoring of blood circulation system, lung. ICP, CPP.
Practicing ventilation modes (CPPV, BIPAP, CPPV + IRV, IR: BIPAP) on artificial lungs. Monitoring during mechanical ventilation. Working at the bedside.
Training modes of ventilation (SIMV, MMV, ASB, BIPAP) on artificial lungs. Monitoring during mechanical ventilation. Working at the bedside. Care of the respiratory tract, aerosol therapy, nebulization lung lavage method of oxygen therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Oxygen instrumentation and ventilation in home care.
- Study Objective:
-
The aim is to familiarize students with the provision of comprehensive patient care in respiratory therapy, which includes a qualified assessment of the patient, care and treatment of artificial ventilation in cardiorespiratory failure system states with depression or pharmacological inhibition of neuromuscular transmission.
