Synopsis:

The module introduces the main approaches and principles of integration in information systems. It focuses on technological and operational point of view of integration solutions.

Requirements:

Basic knowledge of architectures of information systems.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Specialization and requirement of IS integration.

2. History and evolution of computational models.

3. Middleware.

4. Principles of service oriented architecture (SOA) and implementation of a system with SOA.

5. SOA Technology.

6. SOA Governance.

7. Integration competence centers.

8. Information integration.

9. Access integration.

10. Case study: SOA system lifecycle.

11. Architectures and Enterprise architecture: standards in architectures, framework classifications, enterprise architectures.

12. EA management process, relation to the other disciplines, role of the enterprise architect.

Study Objective:

Upon successful completion of this module, students will be able to identify typical points of information system integration, decide on a suitable technological solution, and explain the essential features of the selected solution.
