Synopsis:

High speed rail (HSR) transport characteristics and position in transportation system. HSR vehicles types and characteristics and control-command and signalling system. HSR system interoperability. Non-adhesion HSR systems. City traffic service by HSR. HSR operating points. HSR worldwide network. HSR routing and traffic conception. Specifics of HSR track construction and geometrical characteristics.

Requirements:

Knowledge of railway traffic, knowledge of layout, parameters and construction of railway lines and stations, basic knowledge of non-rail transport systems layout and traffic.

Study Objective:

Obtaining complex knowledge in high speed rail transport as a subsystem of rail transport - specific high speed railway lines constructions, control-command, signalling and operation. Emphasis on coupling of high speed rail transport and other transport systems with aim of public transport in modal-split increase.
