Synopsis:

The course is designed for students attending the bachelor´s program Software Technologies and Management, who study English as a compulsory subject and whose knowledge of English corresponds to Level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students are supposed to reach Level C1. Course objective: The course focuses on consolidating communicative skills, covering selected topic-related technical texts and practising difficult grammar points.

Requirements for „zápočet“

Academic Achievement - students are due to:

-Take an active part in the language instruction.

-Meet the requirements for writing assignments - Summary/Abstract, Argumentation Paper.

-Succeed in both the midterm and the final term tests with the success rate set at 70%.

-80% and over in BOTH tests means ORAL EXAM ONLY (no written part).

Attendance - Students are allowed to be absent twice during the semester.

Requirements will be specified by individual teachers during the first class of the term.
