Communication is one of the main criteria, according to which healthcare services are considered by the public. In this filed, it is necessary to acquaint students with problems of the supplementary frankness of information but also with necessary sensitive attitude and capability of the individual approach. After completing the subject, the student is able to manage complex problems of negotiation with people in extreme and conflict situations.

Requirements and conditions for graded credit: Active attendance at seminars is allowed one absence. In the absence of more compelling reasons (to be documented excuse) is a possible alternative solution, which determines the instructor. Elaboration of seminary work and its presentation during the semester schedule and topics essay will copy the key curriculum exercises.

Basic principles of communication. Group performance. Problem situations. Conflict social situations. Stress.
Crisis communication. Tedious life situations, frustration, deprivation, frustration tolerance.
Adaptation mechanisms in management of tedious life situations.
Mental crisis as a consequence of extraordinary stress.
Psychological first aid, psychosocial aid.
Anti-stress assisting components, stress management - coping.
Consequences of the stress (disorders of the behaviour, neurotic problems, emotional problems, psychosomatic problems).
Mental stress in helping professions.
Affiliation, empathy and pro-social behaviour.
Model of the mental crisis.
Possibilities of the intervention at particular stages of the mental crisis.
Burnout syndrome, trauma transfer.
Model situations in a conflict.
