Synopsis:

The course is dedicated to principle, properties and applications of measuring instruments used for precise measurement, measuring of extremely low signals, HF measurement etc. Above the knowledge obtained in basic

course Sensors and Measurement. Labs are focused to their optimum usage both in standard and less frequent applications.

2. Measuring signal sources - AC/DC voltage and current calibrators

3. Measuring signal sources - Low distortion generators, frequency synthesisers

4. Digitising scopes - advanced modes

5. Precision digital multimeters with high resolution

6. Instruments of for extremely low current and voltage measurement

7. Lock-in amplifiers

8. Power analysers and electronic loads

9. Special instruments for multichannel data acquisition (dataloggers)

10. Spectrum analysers and measuring receivers. DSP of intermediate frequency signal, real time spectrum analysers

11. HF powers meters, metallic and optical reflectometers. Principle, parameters

12. Testers for Bluetooth, NMT, GSM, UMTS a trunk radio nets. Measuring receivers for GPS

7. Power analysers - non-standard applications

8. Datalogger - measurement of crosstalk, dynamical properties

9. Spectrum analyser application for (non)stationary HF signal parameter

10. Measuring radio receiver - detector linearity, mirror- and intermodulation products immunity

11. Detection and power measurement of spread spectrum signals using power meter and vector analyser

12. Measuring GSM/UMTS terminal. Measurement of GSM/UMTS radio interface parameters
