Synopsis:

The course is open to students who are beginners in their second language. Course objectives:Achieving competence in basic French and an ability to communicate in simple everyday situations. Emphasis is placed on communication and pronunciation. Reading and understanding straightforward texts and basic writing skills.

Course objectives: Achieving competence in basic French and an ability to communicate in simple everyday situations. Emphasis is placed on communication and pronunciation. Reading and understanding straightforward texts and basic writing skills.

Topics and situations: Greetings, introductions, family and friends, prepositions of place, asking for directions, numerals and telling the time, houses and apartments, means of transport and public transport. Grammar: Basic spelling, questions and negation, articles and forming plurals, expressing the present, future and recent past. Adjectives. Basic irregular verbs.
