Synopsis:

Hysiotherapy, especially physical therapy, orthotics and

prosthesis, selected parts of biomechanics and ergonomy.

Physical therapeutic methods, technology in therapy (

ultrasound apparatuses and technology for radiotherapy).

Replacement by sensors and possibilities of communication

with computer. Artificial organs and relevant circulatory

confirmatory devices. Implantable medical devices -

pacemakers, defibrilators, cardioverters.

Study Objective:

The main goal of the subject is to give information within

the field of rehabilitation engineering as branch where the

all activity is devoted to the improvement of dissabled

quality of live. Students will be able to perform synthesis

of the knowledge from a lot of branches to obtain the most

suitable aid or device.
