Synopsis:

Psychology of personality. Industrial and organizational psychology. Psychology in human resources management. Workgoups and teams, roles and competencies. Psychology in sales, consumer behavior analysis, psychology in marketing. Personality of a manager and leader. Time management, planning, delegation. Corporate culture.

3.Adaptation, training and development, appraisal. Outsourcing.

4.Interaction, communication, negotiation. Social perception.

5.Workgoups and teams. Roles and competencies. Team dynamics.

6.Corporate culture and identity. Elements of corporate culture. Typology of corporate culture.

7.Psychology in marketing. Consumer behavior analysis, psychology in sales and promotion

8.Motivation and stimulation for work. Sources of work motivation and its dynamics.

9.Theories of motivation - general and applied theories.

10.Manager and leader. Management styles. Career management.

11.Time management, planning, delegation.

12.Stress and stress management. Relaxation methods and mental hygiene. Burn-out syndrome prevention.

13.Cross-cultural management. National and corporate cultures. Geocentrical, polycentrical, and global companies.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Seminars are focused practical development, training, and practicing of particular social and managerial skills through a form of experiential learning and psychological and managerial games.

In a course of a semester students pick a topic for an assignment, that they need to defend towards the end of a course.
