Synopsis:

The course is suitable for students who have a good knowledge of the material covered in secondary school in that language.Course objectives: Achieving competence in understanding and communicating in everyday situations for engineers. Good orientation in current technical texts. Ability of oral and written communication in specialized topics. Preparation for the D.E.L.E.exam.

Course objectives: Developing basic language skills: Ability to understand spoken language, to grasp the main points of an unknown specialized text, to converse on both general and specialized topics and to write a paper. In addition to that, to have a good command of appropriate grammar. Topics: Curriculum vitae, letter writing (application, reservation, offer), tourism and sight-seeing, film, idioms, customs and family life. Computer science, mathematical formulae. Individual reading. Presentations on professional topics. Grammar: Conditional sentences, prepositions, subjunctive.
