The course is open to students who are beginners in their second language. Course objective: Achieving competence in basic Spanish and the ability to communicate in everyday situations with an emphasis on communication. Understanding straightforward texts and basic writing skills.

Course objective: Achieving competence in basic Spanish and the ability to communicate in everyday situations with an emphasis on communication. Understanding and building up a dialogue, basic writing skills. Topics and situations: Greetings, ordering food in a restaurant, introductions, describing people, telephone calls, family, letter writing, housing. Grammar: Pronunciation and spelling, noun, articles, adjectives, three varieties of the verb to be, regular verbs, personal and possessive pronouns, numerals. Orientation in time and space.
