- Lecturer:
- Ivan Pravda (gar.), Jaromír Hrad (gar.), Jiří Hájek
- Tutor:
- Jaromír Hrad (gar.), Jiří Hájek, Petr Jareš, Pavel Lafata, Michal Lucki, Lukáš Vojtěch
- Supervisor:
- Department of Telecommunications Engineering
- Synopsis:
-
The subject deals with telecommunication networks from different viewpoints, explaining their physical principles, structure and applications. It introduces basic terms and principles of information transmission, services of telecommunication networks, quality of services, traffic engineering and dimensioning of networks elements. The application of these principles and methods is demonstrated on the existing communication networks - ISDN, data transmission networks, fixed and mobile networks.
- Requirements:
-
In order to obtain the credits, students have to meet the following conditions:
1) Be successful in the tests from the given tasks (at least 50% score).
2) Succesfully deliver 2 assigned reports.
3) Participate in all practical exercises.
4) Successfully pass the assessment test (at leat 66% score).
The examination is based on a test and possible subsequent discussion.
