Synopsis:

The subject include the basic informations about switching technology, include functional structure of an analog and digital switching exchanges, consisting of a common control and a switching matrix. The students are expected to have a general knowledge of the realities and concepts of switching exchanges.

1. Switching systems, application in the networks. Switching field and control

2. Coding and signalling. Generations of switching systems

3. Systems with registers and markers. Cross - point fields, blocking

4. Line and register signalling. Signalling systems CCITT No.5, R2

5. Multifrequency signalling, interaction of registers and markers, the control call set-up

6. Switching technology for local and trunk centres

7. Traffic, group of lines. Dimensioning of fields and group of lines

8. Store program control

9. Digital switching systems. IDN, ISDN, structure and properties

10. Digital switching networks. Time and space switchies

11. Signalling of digital switching systems. Reference model OSI

12. Digital switching control architecture

13. Integrated services digital network architectures, broadband - ISDN

14. Private digital branch exchanges, network

2. Basic elements for telecommunication systems, principles for drawing telecom. schemes

3. General solution of 1st generation systems

4. 2nd generation systems - Tesla Pk 202 (general description)

5. 2nd generation systems - Tesla Pk 202 ( UR, U, KPV,VVI)

6. Excursion - telephone exchange of the PK202 type

7. Excursion - GTS CzechNet Prague - private networks, satellite communication

8. Electronic switching systems - technical solution and programming

9. Electronic switching systems UE10, ATEUS Delta

11. Excursion to the Radio Free Europe - PABX system Definity G3
