Synopsis:

The aim is to obtain the knowledge about computer means used in power electrical engineering. The hardware for data acquisition and data processing, the hierarchy SW and HW and application examples. The introduction to program tools MATLAB, SIMULINK and MATHEMATICA. The model creation and technical problems solving.

1. Architecture of an industrial computer, its peripheral devices

2. Hardware of an industrial computer

3. Data acquisition, communication

4. Data processing inside of the microcomputer

5. Software for the acquisition and procession of technological data

6. Microprocessor development systems

7. Feasibility of MATLAB and MATHEMATICA systems, criteria of selection of the system

8. The application examples

9. MATHEMATICA for simple calculations

10. MATHEMATICA as a programming language

11. The structure of MATLAB

12. The introduction into MATLAB programming

13. Idea of models and modeling, types of models

14. Methodology of a model creation

1. Microcomputer and its equipment

2. Introduction in the microprocessor development system

3. Basic tasks - data moving, input and output

4. Training tasks - data processing, peripherals

5. Embedded application, programming of a single chip microcomputer

6. Example of a supervisory control system

7. Examples of solved technical problems in MATLAB and MATHEMATICA

8. Numerical and symbolic calculations in MATHEMATICA

9. Commands of type „Solve“ and „Replace“ in MATHEMATICA

10. Use of Lists, functions and graphic outputs in MATHEMATICA

11. Simple calculations in MATLAB

12. Matlab as a programming language

13. Model of the direct current motor start in MATHEMATICA
