Applied Electronics in Electric Drives

Synopsis:

Modern drive block diagram, control hierarchy, basic blocks of controllers, coupling of controller with environment, parameter setting and its influence on equipment function. Basic theory of logic control, design methods, PLC (Processor Logic Controller). Switching LV, HV, protective and auxiliary apparatus: survey of types and basic properties, project data. Determination of drive input data, influence of network on drive choice, choice of constructive design. Elaboration of project documentation, record of project changes.

Requirements:

Active participation on labs (max. 3 excused absencess), elaboration of check test, presentment of own lab works

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Block diagram of modern drive, control hierarchy

2. Basic blocks of controllers, coupling of controller with environment

3. Parameter setting and its influence on equipment function

4. Subsidiary instruments, custom comfort

5. Basic theory of logic control

6. Design methods of logic control, PLC (Processor Logic Controller)

7. Realization of logic control tasks

8. Low-voltage switching apparatus: Survey of types and basic properties, project data

9. Low-voltage switching apparatus: Survey of types and basic properties, project data

10. Protective apparatus: Survey of types and basic properties, project data

11. Auxiliary switching apparatus, sensors, actuators

12. Determination of drive input data, influence of network on drive choice, choice of constructive design

13. Procedure by choice of parameters for drive components, usage of catalog data

14. Elaboration of project documentation, record of project changes

1. Performance with industrial delivered microprocessor controllers

2. Realization of simple control tasks

3. Performance with typical coupling of a microprocessor controller to environment

4. Methods of parameter setting, monitoring of its influence on function

5. Means of custom comfort

6. Logic automat Moeller, deal on individual tasks

7. Solution of the individual task

8. Measurement on switching LV apparatus

9. Excursion to cement work Radotin

10. Excursion to cement work Radotin

11. Excursion to clearing station of gutter water Podbaba

12. Excursion to Clearing station of gutter water Podbaba

13. Demonstrations of drive project documentation, deal of a simple drive project
