Synopsis:

The main aim of the course is an introduction to the basic structures of power pulse converters. Students can get informations about the converter design and usage of snubber and protection circuits. Characteristics and data sheets of active power devices mainly used for the design including also cooling parts. As a result the student will be able to elaborate a complex design of a power pulse converter.

6. BUCK-BOOST converters

7. Cuk's converters

8. Control drive circuit of pulse converters. Design and cooling design of a converter

9. High-frequency transformer design

10. FORWARD converters

11. FLYBACK converters

12. PUSH-PULL converters

13. HALF-BRIDGE converters. FULL-BRIDGE converters

14. Snubber circuits, protective circuits. Electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
