The course is offered by the Department of Mechanics and Material Science K312,1st semester. After written examination the students receive qualification of instructed persons (Notice No. 50/78). In the second part of lectures are discussed relations between structure and properties of materials. Semiconductors, insulators, magnetic materials, conductors, superconductors, polymers, composites, structural materials.

This program is intended as a preparation for the operation of and work on electrical equipment and installation and includes practical work in laboratory according to the requirements of Czech standards. The material properties measurments complete the lectures content. The program is obligatory.
